Joseph (Jerry) McDonnell handles litigation in both federal and state courts and provides advice to clients on various aspects of railroad, transportation and logistics law.  He represents railroads in all aspects of personal injury litigation, including claims under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), occupational/repetitive stress actions, trespasser claims, grade crossing accidents, property damage claims, freight loss and damage claims, collection of freight charges, revising and interpreting agreements involving railroad real estate (including sidetracks, rights of way for pipelines and fiber optic cables, as well as other property rights), and other transportation matters.  Jerry has lectured on numerous railroad and transportation issues at the Annual Conference on Occupational Claims, National Association of Railroad Trail Counsel (“NARTC), and other organizations involving the railroad industry.
