Sachin Java Selected as an ABA TIPS Now! Fellow
Sachin Java has been selected as an American Bar Association 2019-2020 TIPS Now! Fellow in the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice (TIPS) Section. TIPS Now! is a leadership initiative wherein six to eight Fellows are annually appointed to funded positions on TIPS standing committees. The TIPS Now! Class of 2019-2020 is diverse in terms of practice areas (plaintiff, defense, and corporate counsel), gender and race, and have demonstated involvement in bar association and non-bar related activities. Fellows help with membership initiatives, young lawyer outreach, and produce tangible work product for TIPS during the course of a year. Through this fellowship, Sachin has also been appointed to the ABA TIPS Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
Sachin Java's practice involves business, corporate law, and professional liability litigation. From the corporate perspective he has experience in transactional matters including commercial finance, corporate formation, governance and compliance, mergers and acquisitions and divestitures. His experience in a wide variety of legal practice areas affords him a distinct outlook in defending attorneys in legal malpractice actions. Prior to joining the legal profession, Sachin served in several clinical research and healthcare administration operational roles at the Cleveland Clinic and as an engineer for DePuy Orthopaedics, a Johnson and Johnson Company, that gave him experience in financial negotiation, accounting, project management, grant writing, business plan creation, engineering, clinical research and medical innovation. Along with Professional Liability, and Business & Employment, he is also a member of the firm’s Mass Tort/Toxic Tort and Product Liability Groups.
