Gallagher Sharp’s 2020 Best Lawyers

The Best Lawyers in America, the oldest most respected peer review publication in the legal profession has selected Gallagher Sharp’s Thomas E. Dover, Joseph W. Pappalardo, Alan M. Petrov, Richard C.O. Rezie, Monica A. Sansalone, and John Travis as Best Lawyers for 2020.

2020 marks a first year selection for Monica Sansalone in the area of Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law.  Monica is the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group Manager and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.  She represents lawyers in grievance proceedings at the state level and before federal administrative agencies such as the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Department of Justice. She also defends lawyers against malpractice claims, and in contempt and sanctions proceedings.  She provides representation in trial courts and on appeal, including matters before the Supreme Court of Ohio.  Monica lectures on ethics, malpractice, and professionalism. She provides counsel for risk management matters, pre-suit evaluation, and claim repair.  She has been a partner at Gallagher Sharp since 2003 and is also a member of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group.

Listed since the 2003 edition of Best Lawyers, Tom Dover is selected as a Best Lawyer for Railroad Law, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions-Defendants, and Personal Injury Litigation-Defendants.  He was Cleveland’s Best Lawyers Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions-Defendants Lawyer of the Year for 2017 and 2012, and was also honored in 2014 as Cleveland’s Best Lawyers Personal Injury Litigation-Defendants Lawyer of the Year.

Listed since the 2015 edition, Joe Pappalardo is selected as a Best Lawyer for Transportation Law.  He was Cleveland’s Best Lawyers Transportation Law Lawyer of the Year for 2018, an honor he also received in 2016.

Listed since the 2011 edition, Alan Petrov is selected as a Best Lawyers for Ethics and Professional Responsibility Law and Legal Malpractice Law-Defendants.  Alan was Cleveland’s Best Lawyers Legal Malpractice Law-Defendants Lawyer of the Year for 2020, an honor he received in 2017, 2013 and 2012.

Listed since 2018, Rich Rezie is selected in Best Lawyers in the area of Insurance Law.

Listed since 2014, John Travis is selected in Best Lawyers in the area of Insurance Law.
