Professional Liability

Lori E. Brown

Lori Brown  is a partner at Gallagher Sharp. She defends attorneys against legal malpractice claims and in grievance proceedings and provides counsel for pre-claims assistance and risk management matters.  Lori also handles class actions filed under the FDCPA and other consumer protection statutes and  has successfully defended law firms and individuals in consumer litigation. She represents her clients in trial courts and on appeal, including in Federal District Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Steven D. Strang

Steven Strang has a broad litigation practice and defends individuals and corporations in contractual disputes, premises liability actions, and personal injury claims.  He has a decade of litigation experience and has tried cases to verdict as first chair in courts throughout Ohio. 

Monica A. Sansalone

Monica Sansalone is the Practice Group Manager of Gallagher Sharp’s Professional Liability Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She represents lawyers in grievance proceedings at the state level and before federal administrative agencies such as the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the Department of Justice. She also defends lawyers against malpractice claims, and in contempt and sanctions proceedings.  She provides representation in trial courts and on appeal, including matters before the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Julie L. Juergens

Julie Juergens joined Gallagher Sharp as an Associate in September of 2000 and was named Partner in 2005. She concentrates her practice on employment, commercial, and professional liability litigation, representing businesses and individuals including professionals such as accountants and lawyers, directors, officers, managers, and employees, in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts and before administrative agencies.

Timothy T. Brick

Tim Brick is Gallagher Sharp's Managing Partner and is active in the firm's Professional Liability and Business & Employment Practice Groups.  He successfully defends attorneys in matters alleging malpractice, and violations of the FDCPA and other consumer protection statutes.  He assists in grievance and disciplinary procedures, and at the pre-claim stage.  He also represents real estate professionals and accountants in E&O claims and employers in wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, and breach of contract suits.  Tim lectures extensively with respect to legal m
