Overview

Amily “Ami” Imbrogno is a Partner in the firm’s Business & Employment and General Litigation practice groups, where she focuses her practice on litigation and compliance, bringing a client-centered approach to complex matters of public and private law. She represents governmental entities, businesses, and individuals across a broad range of practice areas, including employment and labor law, governmental tort liability, Ohio Sunshine Laws, local government law, energy law and regulation, and non-profit law.

Her work includes defending employers in litigation, responding to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) charges, and advising public and private employers on workplace policies, compliance, and best practices. Her practice also spans U.S. and Ohio Constitutional issues — including First, Second, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendment claims — as well as the Open Meetings Act, Public Records Act, and matters involving municipal, county, and quasi-governmental entities. Ami’s combination of courtroom skill and policy fluency enables her to deliver both strategic litigation and proactive guidance, identifying legal risks before they escalate and helping clients achieve optimal outcomes.

Ami also has significant experience in appellate work, including before Ohio appellate courts, the Ohio Supreme Court, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
